Harmanpreet Kaur came up with the best in the semi-final of ICC Women's World Cup

It was a special Thursday evening for all those who braved the rain and were willing to wait for the action. What ensued, after a delayed start, was a curtailed semi-final between Australia and India in Derby which turned out to be a high-scoring entertainer that made the wait worth.
Harmanpreet Kaur chose a stage as big as the semi-final and a team as mighty as Australia to produce a special effort - her "best" innings in ODI cricket - to help India amass 281 for 4 in the encounter. Harmanpreet scored 171 off only 115 deliveries which included 20 fours and 7 sixes.

"H Kaur was thinking, that if she gets a chance to hit boundaries, she would continue that," said Harmanpreet on great semi-final.

During her partnership with D Sharma, Harmanpreet was livid with her partner when the latter had doubts about a second run and eventually had to put in a dive to get to the crease and Harmanpreet has done a great century for her team. After that she was not looking back to score 281 for India. She kept going sixes and fours, no bowler of Australia could stop her scoring. It was great day for her and for cricket lover of India and even for the world.

"It's always a dream to play at Lord's. We're really looking forward to that. Hopefully we'll do well. Team of India not feeling pressure. It's a dream match for us. When you defeat a world class team, your confidence is high. And we've already defeated England in this tournament. So I think that match will be 'on'. Hopefully we play good cricket that day. Winning or losing is another matter. We just have to play good cricket and take no tension," she concluded.
